At Konligo, we know that innovation often meets resistance, especially when it challenges habits in a conservative sector like event building. It’s normal to doubt what looks different. But what looks different can also be better.
We combine deep structural expertise with a passion for doing things smarter. As a spin-off of the University of Brussels (VUB), our roots go back over 20 years, grounded in academic research into foldable scissor structures. Several PhD studies laid the foundation for what we do today, and that scientific background still drives our hands-on, forward-thinking approach to building stronger, faster, and more sustainable event structures.
Wind resistance: tested and proven.
We put our Fastival structure through a rigorous wind resistance test. Designed in collaboration with the VUB and validated by Vinçotte, we simulated winds of up to 80 km/h — equivalent to strong storms — using a custom setup with pulleys, sensors, and more than 1400 kg of force.
The results? The structure held strong without permanent deformation, confirming its robustness with both top and back membranes attached. This test gives sound & lights professionals the confidence to use Fastival safely outdoors, even in challenging weather conditions.
Joint resistance: calculated to last.
To ensure our patented joints can withstand high wind and dynamic forces, we’ve rigorously tested them using Instron machines. Static tests showed the joints resisted forces between 7.3 and 11 kN (roughly 740 to 1120 kg) before failure — well above the maximum forces expected in our calculations.
Proven. Tested. Certified.
For structures like ours, certification isn’t legally required. But we chose to do it anyway, because we believe in backing innovation with proof.
We have all the static calculations, we’ve done extensive testing, and we went the extra mile to make sure our structures meet the highest standards.
That’s why our structures are certified by Vinçotte according to European norms, and for the French market, we also obtained the CTS certification.
